Beautiful, pure heart young woman has Maleficent not have an idyllic life growing up in a peaceful forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the earth. Maleficent rises to a fierce protector of the earth, but it will eventually suffer a ruthless betrayal - an act that begins to change her pure heart in stone. In revenge, Maleficent faces battle with the upcoming successor to the kings and as a result, puts a curse on his newborn Aurora.
